Overview

iTrustPDF (itrustpdf.com) offers free online PDF, image, calculator and utility tools. Documents often contain personal or business information, so this page explains in plain terms what happens to your files and data. It is accurate for the tools described below; if a tool page says something more specific, the tool page applies to that tool.

• Most tools run in your browser. When you use them, your files are opened and processed on your own device and are not uploaded to us.
• A few tools use a server. They are listed in this policy and say so on their own pages.
• No accounts. You do not need to register or sign in to use the tools.
• We do not sell your files, and we do not use files you process for training, profiling or advertising.

Which tools run where

1. Tools that run in your browser

Most tools work entirely in your browser using JavaScript libraries that are downloaded when the page loads. This includes, for example, Merge PDF, Split PDF, Compress PDF, the PDF Editor, PDF OCR, converting PDFs to and from images, text, HTML, JSON, XML, CSV, Excel and ZIP, converting images to PDF, the image tools (compressor, resizer, watermark, text adder, JFIF converter), Crop PDF, Flatten PDF, Unlock PDF, TIFF to PDF, the QR Code Generator, the calculators and most developer utilities. Your files and the text you enter in these tools are not sent to our servers.

Some of these tools keep your own settings or inputs in your browser's local storage so they are still there next time. That data stays on your device and you can clear it in your browser settings.

2. Tools that send your file to our conversion server

These tools cannot run in the browser, so your file is uploaded to a conversion service that we run on Render (render.com), a cloud hosting provider:

• PDF to Word and Word to PDF
• PDF to PowerPoint and PowerPoint to PDF

The file is sent over an encrypted HTTPS connection, converted, and the result is returned to your browser. The file is used only to produce the conversion you asked for. Temporary copies may exist on the server while the conversion runs. We do not publish, sell or reuse these files, and no one reviews them manually. Because the file leaves your device, please do not use these tools for documents you are not comfortable sending to an online service; use a browser-based tool instead.

3. Tools that send what you enter to a server or another service

• SEO Analyzer and XML Sitemap Generator: to read the page you enter, they request it through third-party proxy services (api.allorigins.win, corsproxy.io and api.codetabs.com). The web address you enter is therefore sent to those services.
• Extract Meta Tags and Keyword Density Analyzer: the web address or text you submit is sent to our server, which fetches the page and returns the result.
• Robots.txt Generator: your settings are sent to our server to generate the file. The tool does not save them.
• Notes App: notes are kept on our server for your current browser session, linked to you by a session cookie rather than by an account, and are not stored in your browser.
• Speech to PDF: speech recognition is provided by your browser, which may send your audio to its provider's speech service (for example Google in Chrome). The PDF itself is created in your browser.
• YouTube Thumbnail tools: thumbnail images are loaded from YouTube's image servers (img.youtube.com).
• Currency Converter: exchange rates are loaded from a third-party rates service (ExchangeRate-API). No personal data is sent.

4. Contact form

If you contact us through the form, we receive your name, email address, subject, message and any attachment you add (up to 10 MB). The form sends this to us by email; the website does not save it in a database. We use it only to reply to you and to run the service, and we keep it as long as needed for that purpose or as the law requires. To reduce spam, the form uses a hidden field and a timing check, and may use Cloudflare Turnstile, a human-verification service that checks signals from your browser when you send the form.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the site, our hosting provider's servers record standard log data such as your IP address, browser type, device, the pages you request and the time of the request. We use this to operate and secure the site and to fix problems.

We also use:

• Google Analytics on some pages, to understand how the site is used.
• Google AdSense on many pages, to show advertising. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads; see Google's own policies and your cookie choices below.
• A cookie that remembers your cookie-banner choice, and, for the Notes App, a session cookie.

Third-party services

The site relies on these providers, each of which has its own privacy policy and may receive technical information such as your IP address and browser details when you load a page:

• Hostinger – website hosting.
• Cloudflare Turnstile – human verification on the contact form, when enabled.
• Render – hosting for the file conversion servers described above.
• Google – Analytics, AdSense and, on one page, Google Fonts.
• Cloudflare (cdnjs), jsDelivr and unpkg – content delivery networks that serve the JavaScript libraries and icons our tools use.
• api.allorigins.win, corsproxy.io, api.codetabs.com, YouTube and ExchangeRate-API – only for the specific tools listed above.

Cookies

You can decline non-essential cookies through the cookie banner and manage or delete cookies in your browser settings. More detail is in our Cookies Policy.

How long we keep data

• Files in browser-based tools: not received by us, so we hold nothing.
• Files in server-based conversion tools: used only to produce your result (see above); we do not keep them as a service.
• Server logs and analytics: kept for as long as needed to run and secure the site, according to our providers' settings.
• Contact messages: kept as long as needed to respond to you and keep a record, or as the law requires.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, so data sent between your browser and our servers is encrypted in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to receive a copy of your data. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.

Children

Our services are not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our tools change. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and update the "Last Updated" date.
